About the Author: Roy B. Zuck is Senior Professor of Bible Exposition Emeritus at Dallas Theological Seminary and editor of Bibliotheca Sacra, the seminary's quarterly theological journal. A member of the faculty since 1973, Dr. Zuck served for a number of years as Academic Dean and Vice President for Academic Affairs at the seminary. Dr. Zuck has authored or coauthored numerous books, including The Bible Knowledge Commentary, Adult Education in the Church, The Bib Sac Reader, and Creation: Evidence from Scripture and Science. My thoughts about the book: As I do public speaking and pulpit fill for churches I am always looking for good and appropriate illustrations and quotations for my messages. In the book “The Speaker’s Quote Book” by Roy B. Zuck I have found a vast and assorted range of illustrations and quotes to choose from. The quote are alphabetized by topic for easy reference and there is something to be said for just about every occasional imaginable in the book. Topics for quotations and illustrations in the book include but are not limited to Abortion, Achievement, Attitude, Bible, Character, Child-Rearing, Christ, Freedom, God, Grief, Heaven, Hell, Fathers, Mothers, Jesus, Motivation, Prayer, Salvation, Pride, Stress, Work, Worry and just about any other topic of life you can imagine. If you are a public speaker or minister and find yourself looking for a timely and appropriate quote or illustration for your message you need look no further than then Speaker’s Quote Book as you will be sure to find just the right quote or illustration to complement your message and get the point across you wish to make. Everyone who speaks or preaches needs a nice supply of great illustrations. The Speaker's Quote Book provides the attention-getting story or that "just right" quote that adds depth to any sermon or presentation. This and over 5,000 more quotes, stories, anecdotes, and illustrations from The Speaker's Quote Book will help the pastor prepare a better sermon or the speaker present a better speech. This new collection of both contemporary and classic material puts a wealth of interest-building illustrations at one's fingertips. I believe this book can be beneficial for writers also. Roy Zuck's book has been around for awhile, but this is the new revised, expanded and updated version.
