Review # 1 was written on 2014-05-14 00:00:00 Fermin Caraig Used a chapter within this book (pages 309-313) for my dissertation background reading (on the Italian Renaissance). This read was more for general research than any specific topic but would be particularly useful for those wanting to know different kinds of spirituality writers who were popular within the period. The text covers three key authors and gives a quick summary of their ideas and lives without going into detail about their specific works. The book in general also is very detailed, well-organised and contains a lot of really interesting information on the history of spirituality from medieval to contemporary. Definitely useful in an academic sense or just for interest!
