Review # 1 was written on 2009-04-11 00:00:00 Eric Contreras I can draw and sew, but this book reaffirms for me that I have a lot to learn about fashion design, garment-making and tailoring. Project Runway runner-up Daniel Vosovic gives fascinating, fully-illustrated explanations of processes you only get a glimpse of on the show: sketching stylized fashion croquis (figures), "rubbing off" existing garments to create new patterns, and draping fabric on dress forms. I am eager to give the tutorials and tips a go. The book's production value is exquisite, from the velveteen cover, its layout, design, and full-color photography, right down to the photogenic, adorable author. I can't believe it sells for only $29.95!
