What ages would I recommend it too? - Fourteen and up. Length? - Most of a day's read. Characters? - No Setting? - Medical facts about vision. Written approximately? - 2006. Does the story leave questions in the readers mind? - This is missing a few important points. It does not cover the preferred optomap for vision checking over eye drops that leave vision impaired for days, and puffy eyes. It also does not cover colobomas. Any issues the author (or a more recent publisher) should cover? Yes, see above. Notes for the reader: A good resource for those wanting to better understand the eye and how it works. Covers many common eye conditions, and leaves a few others out. However, it recommends eye exams only every ten years for adults. I think current recommendations are closer to every two years, if not every year. I would also like to see a section on how to work with insurance to get vision necessities covered, especially glasses.

Not bad for a basic reference. Very "to the point" information. I feel it could have used more diagrams and images to explain things though, as this book is meant for people who don't understand much about medical anything.
