Review # 1 was written on 2015-08-23 00:00:00 Richard Gray This book was assigned for my Professional Responsibility class in law school. This book gets one star because it had a lot of examples that were somewhat current and/or relevant, unlike many of my other school books. Also, a lot of examples center around California and as someone who will take the California bar exam, this is helpful. However, this book is littered with errors (typos, grammatical errors, etc.). But arguably the worst part of this book is that it doesn't describe the rules. Rather, it presents a bunch of hypotheticals and questions. The joke among my classmates and I is that this book is useless because it's just a book of questions, and no answers. Yes, I do realize that we're supposed to look to the Model Rules and applicable state rules for the answers. However, this book does little to clarify the Model Rules. By and large, this book has been useless. This has been especially disappointing because of the high praise my professor has given to the authors. |
