Review # 1 was written on 2016-10-12 00:00:00 Kathleen Pollock This caught my eye at the library yesterday and I had to grab it. Being a Tampa local I wanted to learn the history and see the complied photos from the past 140 years. Unfortunately there wasn't a lot of information for every photo and very few of Ybor or st Pete. I did learn that on the corner of Now Florida ave and JFk there used to be a lynching tree back in 1800's. Absolutely awful. They did touch a bit on the issues of Tampa immigrants in the 1900's. Would have loved more history and more pictures.

Review # 2 was written on 2015-01-26 00:00:00 James Enderle I'm a sucker for photo books of history, especially these compilations of photographs from different cities, and sometimes special topics. In this case just about anything that depicts the history of Tampa, the city I grew up in for the most part, will attract me like manatees to warm water. I wasn't overly impressed with the book, but still I enjoyed it.
