Review # 1 was written on 2015-11-30 00:00:00 Svetlana Popelka I just now learned of Jean Marzollo from a suggestion in the "What's the Name of That Book?" group. Having never heard of her I am surprised to see that she's written well over a hundred books -- my library alone has 129 entries for her, and they don't own some of the books that come up at the top of her goodreads entry. Especially surprised given that she was around when I and my siblings were little and seems to write a lot of the sort of books that libraries like to buy (eg. counting books, retellings of myths and Bible stories, biographies, and other educational-type picture books). I'm starting with this one because it is available from the library and I wanted to try one that was co-authored with her husband, sculptor Claudio Marzollo. It looks like their two sons Dan and Dave are also authors so maybe I will try them next.

Review # 2 was written on 2017-06-24 00:00:00 Jonny Martin This is a TRULY strange book. Even in the world of I-tried-to-write-a-kid's-book-but-ended-up-with-postmodern-surealist-horror; this one stands out.
