Review # 1 was written on 2016-09-11 00:00:00 Akram Khitresh For someone who has been out of the academic cycle for a long time this was a brilliant re- examination of many of the things I learned (forgot). It might be a little deep if you are only a casual devotee of the epic, but, I believe that there is much here for anyone who wants to know a little bit more about Homer and the other story tellers of his time. I really liked it a lot. Highly recommended. |
Review # 2 was written on 2009-08-24 00:00:00 Christy Anderson This was a great account of how the Epic Cycle and Homer relate to each other and to the Trojan War. Very learned with nothing too difficult to comprehend. It asks us to see the Epic Cycle as as old as or older than Homer. |
