Review # 1 was written on 2017-10-29 00:00:00 Rodney Newkirk This book was so highly rated that I expected a lot more from it. It felt like a large number of significant architectural structures weren't included, and on top of that fact it's now pretty outdated, rendering it even more incomplete. I thought it was a little odd how so many small private buildings were included. There were very few details and most of this could be picked up on a quick architecture tour. I will be looking for another Chicago architecture guide that does a little more than just describe the photos of buildings I don't need to see photos of.

Review # 2 was written on 2017-07-01 00:00:00 Jared Rogers My introduction to Chicago architecture with its one page descriptions of important buildings & good color photographs of them. Looked through it both before and after trip to Chicago; definitely got more out of it after having at least glanced at some of the buildings.
