Review # 1 was written on 2018-09-22 00:00:00 Brian Grau I found this book to be helpful in understanding what a missional church is. Minatrea designed this book to help pastors and local congregational leaders learn about and apply the missional practices to their own context. The book gives descriptions of each of the 9 missional practices and examples of churches who embody them in their ministry. Each chapter has "Reflection and Application" questions and statements for use with a group. There is an assessment for each of the 9 practices to help a congregation to determine where they are in relationship to exhibiting that practice.

Review # 2 was written on 2017-10-07 00:00:00 Andrew Hayes This book gives keen insight as to what it means to be a missional church and solid advice on how to get there. Minatrea's presentation of the nine practices characteristic of missional churches is helpful for gaining a picture of what being missional is about, and his short assessment questions at the end of those chapters is helpful for gaining a picture of how missional one's church tends to be. Minatrea obviously has a heart for helping the church become all God designed it to be.
