Another fantastic setting for the FR, and an incredibly detailed one. It focuses of course in Calimshan, its vast (VAST!) history, its costumes (Wonderfully described) and geography. There is material for many years of playing, adventure seeds everywhere. Of course, it needs another book to describe Calimport entirely, but you can't play with Calimport without this book. To really grasp the architecture and the culture you need to do a little previous research on Constantinople, and the Al-Qadim rulebook is of great help to flesh out even more the setting. The main drawback is taht it is VERY detailed, and surely many of its features are going to be lost if you want an action-oriented campaign. It is my base campaing scenario for the FR and I love it.

Sequel to his second book, plot was weak - trying to make something more out of very little. Disappointed.
