Written for AD&D 2nd edition, this adventure is the first part of the Sea Devils trilogy, released to accompany the Sea Devils Monstrous Arcana book. This is not a straight-forward dungeon crawl, rather, it throws the players way out of their comfort zone, and forces them to deal with an intelligent opponent on its home turf. There are a few bad points - it does railroad the players a little, but less than most D&D adventures do; and if you want it to be a stand-alone adventure, it will require a fair few modifications - the story is set to continue into the second adventure in the series. Overall, a good adventure for DMs who are looking for something a bit different, and want to knock some of the cockiness out of their players :)

I love gothic horror, and so of course I love Ravenloft. This book is everything you need to run 2E games in the Domain of Dread. As well as being a great core book, it is also a really great read, as you get to find out about a lot of Ravenloft's different countries, peoples, and rulers.
