Although this struggled to keep my attention, I want to give credit to the author for the work that went into the book. I did find it interesting the number of these women who never married, and also, of those that did marry, most did not stay married. Those few who had successful marriages either had husbands who worked in the same/similar field or they were just extremely understanding and supportive. I was enlightened by the glimpse into the struggles that women experienced just to get any sort of higher education in the early 1900's. One constant theme that I saw...all had very supportive parents or a family member or teacher who encouraged them to follow their educational and career aspirations.

A little bit formulaic (this season reflected these cultural events, this other season commented on these other cultural events, etc) but overall a solid read for anyone with an interest in television studies, M*A*S*H or After-M*A*S*H stans.
