Review # 1 was written on 2012-03-13 00:00:00 Kenneth Temprano 4 star Because of the movie "A League of their Own" it sparked an intrest for me in the GPBL. This book the authors did intense research and tried to include EVERYONE of the women who was listed on the roster whether or not she actually got to go on the field and play. They included stats for each woman along with, when they could, a small biography of the player. And when they could they tried to include a photo as well. It's set up like an encyclopedia but easy to read format, not super boring. And if you were looking for specific player they are listed in alphabetical order so it would make it easy to find them. It was nice looking through this book and seeing the true life women who made such an impact on our History
