Review # 1 was written on 2007-07-18 00:00:00 Louis Ludwig Communication Is Key in Marriage I thought this book was an okay read with a great lesson in it for married couples, especially newlyweds. This novel was about a young couple trying to keep their marriage together after an unexpected loss. Josh and Gloria Martin thought they had it all, until Josh lost his job and with the loss of his job, his self-esteem, manhood, and pride all took a beating. In stead of him seeing Gloria as his equal partner he saw her as the one carrying him and he being a failure. And Gloria saw his losing his job as wake up call that their hopes and dreams weren't guaranteed and might never come true. It takes you through how communication is key, otherwise everything just builds up and is compounded, which can cause everything to blow up in your face. They had to rediscover each other, and put their unhappy childhoods behind them and try to rebuild their future again.
