Review # 2 was written on 2017-05-12 00:00:00 Glenn Edgar Though it was published over 10 years ago, liberte was a good companion book when traveling and experiencing the land and people of Haiti. The collection of essays made for quick short reading. Haiti has a long and complicated history, and anyone traveling there will get much more out of the experience if the make an effort to understand that history. This book got passed around by the members if my group while we where there, and all felt the book enhanced our understanding of what we where seeing.
