Review # 1 was written on 2009-12-14 00:00:00 Louise Ruggeri Carol Smalley introduces readers to a "small-y" pet cute enough to be in homes more often than kitty cats and puppy dogs. Hamsters! Unlike big dogs, they are compact, easy to carry,more complex to care for, and easier to care about. In the book, you find that more homes have cute hamster pets now than in 2001. (America needed something lovable to cuddle with after 9/11 so it makes sense). Read this book and hopefully you too will be inspired to head to your nearest PetCo for a new little buddy. After all, it's post 9/11, and cuteness heals!!! Four stars Hamsters rule over all!
