The photos are large and clear and the frames are described in detail and valued in dollars. There is not another book that covers picture frames in this way. It covers all styles of Picture frames such as Eastlake, Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Folk Art, Tramp Art, Rustic Style, all types of wood and painted finishes from the period 1800 to about 1940. It also covers Table Top frames from 1840 to about 1950. The book contains over 650 color photos. Includes a valuation guide. Regular price $39.95. If you collect old prints or paper ephemera or love the look of old frames, then you should own this book. It differentiates between the good, the very good, and the great examples of the framemaker's art. Easy to use and understand, it is like a walk through a picture frame museum with a knowledgeable guide at your side. Very enjoyable!

Review # 2 was written on 2019-08-25 00:00:00 Ivan Micallef It is certainly dubious as to whether anything in this book will be a prized antique in the future, but it is filled with alot of cool looking, if not particulary functional, items. Lots of clever ideas and of course the book itsle is designed to look like piece of art, so it is a fun quick read.
