Review # 1 was written on 2018-03-14 00:00:00 Juan Gonzales This book is a book whose existence I didn't know was a lacuna in my life until I found it. It's a meticulous and forthcoming roadmap (on of the reviewers compares the author to a cartographer, which he is in a way, more than a philosopher or a psychiatrist) to all the ways that human values, "good" or "bad", intersect with the process and consequences of making a psychiatric diagnosis. I'm only maybe a fifth of the way through and it's already given me so many tools for framing my thoughts about this extremely fraught process, ie, psychiatric diagnosis. |
