Review # 1 was written on 2017-11-21 00:00:00 Tristam Niederer This is one of those books that sound like a good idea, but turn out to be kind of tiresome. With the exceptions of Larry Niven's "Neutron Star" and Richard Matheson's "The Test", the central themes of all these science fiction firsts have had better treatments in later stories, while the pre-1900 stories just make you kind of weary.

Review # 2 was written on 2019-08-02 00:00:00 Jonathan Morowitz A wonderful gift for kids, especially nowadays. With American children trailing the developed world in mathematics and science, it's time more titles of this sort hit the market. Lively, readable, informative and *fun*. (So much fun, as a matter of fact; you'd do well to steer clear of it if you're a kid at heart.)
