1. I read The Plymouth Colony book in this same We the People series and it didn't mention that the Pilgrims had The Strangers with them. It also didn't mention that the Church of England was also known as the Anglican Church. You would think if an entire book was about Plymouth Colony, then it would have just as much detail. 2. I like how everyone is getting out of dodge (England) but still naming everything after English people and places. 3. I guess I didn't realize how much pirating went on. 4. I've always been fascinated by Roanoke. 5. Found this trivia interesting: The Indian princess Pocahontas had three names. Her real name was Matoaka, which means "little snow feather". Her nickname, Pocahontas, means "playful one". She got this name because she would often do cartwheels in the middle of Jamestown. When she married John Rolfe, she was called Lady Rebecca.
