Review # 1 was written on 2017-12-27 00:00:00 Ottavio Dangelis Although the title is "The Pacific in the Age of Early Industrialization," the book focuses entirely almost on the "Pacific Rim" (and even more specifically, East Asia). Although there are chapters on the US and Latin America, these are secondary to the editor's concerns in East Asia. Unfortunately, the Pacific islands do not fit into the collection at all.
