Review # 2 was written on 2019-12-14 00:00:00 Katarina Sperduto Although generally less well regarded than The Return, Shatner's 2nd Odyssey book, I found this story of Kirk's last hurrah more cohesive and generally more entertaining. Kirk, likely reflecting Shatner's own feelings in the twilight of his career, gets a bit sentimental here as he contemplates life after Star Fleet. This rang true to me, and lent the story some authenticity.
