Review # 1 was written on 2017-02-26 00:00:00 Celia Maria C Souza Meh. I was looking for a good mystery around Jerusalem, but the locales barely matter to this story. There's a little bit of (Europe-facing) Israeli politics, a mediocre plot, and a totally unbelievable final scene. No plan to read any more of this series.

Review # 2 was written on 2018-09-04 00:00:00 Tommy Cavanaugh An easy slice of the rich Harpur and Isles cake. Straightforward plotting without much depth if you didn't know the score. It is given the latter as long as you are dropping back into the lives and foibles of the cast, Panicking, Shale, Lane, Lamb, the flirty daughters and the anonymous seaside town, where the World War Two battlements look out to the bastard, relentless waves that nearly did for old Ralph once, his scar almost bleeding profusely into the brine. Long may the saga continue.
