Review # 1 was written on 2016-06-01 00:00:00 William Atkinson From the primitiveness of the drawings I am guessing these are the first SL strips. I could get off my dust and ascertain this for sure, but I am currently channeling my inner-Sherman. Or maybe I am Sherman. The strip has certainly gotten better as Toomey found his stride, though that is not to downgrade this collection. A great strip gets better. Two characters in these strips that pull a Chuck from Happy Days are a seahorse named Broderick and Ernest's little sister Lori. |
Review # 2 was written on 2016-05-17 00:00:00 Michael Wright One of the snidest, creative and funniest comic strips around, this volume of the earliest strips of Jim Toomey's "Sherman's Lagoon" is a pleaser. Funny as hell and well drawn, "Sherman's Lagoon" is one of the few really great comic strips left in your daily papers. I really enjoyed the hell out of this collection. |
