Review # 1 was written on 2011-01-31 00:00:00 Sherry Leblanc Brilliant, brilliant book! Full of hilariously cynical outlooks on life's most annoying problems. Everyone should have a book like this just so if you're having a bad day you can open it up and cheer yourself up! I always get a giggle out of it even if I'm in the worst mood imaginable. Review # 2 was written on 2016-06-20 00:00:00 Corey Pitman As an omnivorous reader from the moment I learned to read, I have always love pithy lines. I started a commonplace book very young in order to collect my favourites until it grew so unwieldy and disorganized that I started buying books like this instead. However, I am compulsive about it and every journal and notebook (I am a list maker who cannot live without notebooks) has bits of books stashed for later perusal. Most of my books of quotes are huge but this is a tiny gem easily carried. H.L.Mencken quote: 'All Shakespeare did was string together a bunch of old, well-known quotations'. |
