My least favorite Vermont book so far. Just to let you know where I'm coming from: I have about 14 books on/of Vermont, five videos, and have been there a few times, so it's not like this is the first glimpse of it I've gotten. I asked for this for Christmas and was very excited to get it. My excitement quickly turned to disappointment less than halfway through the book. I don't understand where this photographer is coming from. For instance, there is a photo of the side of an old house showing tattered ripped lawn chairs & a garden hose, another pic of plywood w/graffiti on it, a few VERY closeups of part of old dilapidated houses and a barn, at least 4 w/laundry hanging on the line, one w/a bunch of street signs, even one w/a lady surrounded by black garbage bags, and etc...He seems to like to take photos of peoples and animals backsides too. Furthermore, there are NO captions on the pages throughout the whole book, so I can't tell where any of the photos were taken. This book was an extreme letdown for me. I suggest Beauty of Vermont by Tom Slayton instead.
