Review # 1 was written on 2019-09-21 00:00:00 Debbie Nocita This is part of my commitment to read ALL books on my shelf and Kindle before buying new ones. I bought this book whilst checking out the gift shop at Chico Hot Springs, Montana in December 2007. The book documents, mostly with photographs, the beginings of gold prospecting in this part of Montana. It is a charming book with a lot of personal connections for the author, and a lot of her own pictures. I wish I had read this before my visit, as it would have provided a bit more appreciation for the area and I would have been keen to check some of this in the museum in Livingston. All in all, a nice collection of photographs with narratives that are to the point but informative, with the social history surrounding this community.
