Review # 1 was written on 2021-02-08 00:00:00 Robert Long Earl Conn's guide to the state of Indiana from a tourist point of view features a decent collection of landmarks throughout the Hoosier state. Divided by region along the same lines as that of the official tourism guide to the state, Conn picks an good mix of famous & some not so famous landmarks throughout the state. Each of the 101 stops along the way includes detailed information about each location along with pictures, directions, hours of operation & a web site if applicable. The version of the book I have does contain one landmark that no longer exists (the College Football Hall of Fame in South Bend which has since moved to Atlanta, GA), but overall this is definitely a book that I'd recommend for anyone thinking about visiting Indiana in any season. |

The Indiana Historical Society's My Indiana: 101 Places to See is a colorful, informative guide to touring the state of Indiana. Every one of the 101 sites gets two pages, including at least two color photos (some have as many as four), a multi-paragraph, well-written description of the place and a section called "If You Go" that includes direction, phone numbers, websites, hours of operation and fees...
