It doesn't get extremely detailed with basics, but provides great general information on the sport's skills and schemes needed to play at beginner and advanced levels. The diagrams are also helpful to convey player movements and responsibilities. Easy read!

Review # 2 was written on 2020-01-31 00:00:00 Man Wah Wong This is the book I received while going through the ASEP training. It covers the usual coaching matters in the first half (which is helpful). The basics on volleyball skills is quite good and covers the serve-pass-set-hit breakdown well. Each skill is followed by two or three mini-games to practice it. I thought these might be too advanced for 4th and 5th graders as I read through, but when I looked at the sample practice plans for a season (nice guideline), I began to think these can really be useful.
