Review # 1 was written on 2019-12-27 00:00:00 Wolfgang Gerber I love this book. We follow Treva and her dog as they travel over Mount Baldy. She goes up and over this mountain to ski down the other side all the time. I love how smart and collected Treva is. She keeps her calm and wits about her. Today, trolls keep grabbing her dog and saying they will keep it. Treva pulls off her hat, gloves, boots, anything to interest the trolls more. She is left cold and shivering at the top of the mountain. I love how she gets the best of the trolls at the end of the story. She saves her dog and all is right with the world. Good thing trolls aren't very smart. The artwork here is amazing, no doubt. The details are astonishing. You see all the knots in the trees and wood. There is a border around the top and sides of the book that looks like a needlepoint design. On the bottom of the book, we can see under the ground to where the trolls live and what they are doing down there. Even though the trolls are greedy and not smart, they are still cute looking. The nephew loved this story. He thought the trolls were way cute monsters and he enjoyed how Treva outsmarted them. He could see it coming and how it was going to happen and he was hopping up and down waiting for the moment. He was giddy when she outsmarted them. He loves the outsmart. He also loved seeing all the stuff that was in the troll home and he had to find it all. He gave this 4 stars.
