All of the information about race and patriotism in American schools is enlightening and little discussed. Details about gender differences and how they have chanced is also very interesting.

There were a lot of immgriant come to the U.S. from 1870 to 1920. This has a deep study of the period when there were a lot of the diversities of immigrants. it showed how did geography. the book gives an overview of the daily lives of the migrants, including distribution and settlement patterns individual and family migrations, and where they lived. the reason i chose this book is that i'm an immigrant. in fact a very lucky comparing to the lives of the immigrants in the book. it was quite boring but it was worth reading it.
