Review # 1 was written on 2011-04-02 00:00:00 Scott Sorenson My daughter is working her way through the "Which Way U.S.A." interactive series published as a book club by Highlights for Children. When she studied Montana one of the celebrities mentioned was Jeannette Rankin, the first woman to be elected to a seat in congress. This was the only children's book I found about her. It is very well written, quick to read, with lots of illustrations. She was a fascinating turn-of-the-century woman. Well worth reading. |
Review # 2 was written on 2011-11-25 00:00:00 Sally Goade a biography (in free verse for some reason) of one of my heroes - the original Barbara Lee. |
