If you like a mystery, this is a good one so I don't want to give to much away. India Grey is in a beauty salon when it gets broken into and she is raped, but she loses her memory of the attack. She meets Jack Donavan, falls in love with him and marries him, but during the ceremony she recognizes the priest's eyes as being under a black mask like the men that broke into the salon wore. She goes back later to tell him and he tells her that Jack is a killer and in the Mafia. It's true and he introduces her to the family. India doesn't know if she can live with this, but knows Jack will never let her go. She begins a forbidden affair with the priest, not knowing that he is a killer and becomes pregnant. Jack and the priest are on different sides and when the priest tries to kill her Jack tries to save her.

I didn't realize this book is the third in a series of Galeran de Lesneven books. It's not the best medieval mystery I've ever read, but it's not the worst either. It's a good book to read if you've got nothing better to read at the time. On the back cover, the book talks about Celtic legends and werewolves. As I started reading this book, I realised it was set in France and I began wondering how the Celtic legends and werewolves would fit into the story. They didn't. There's no mention at all about Celtic legends and werewolves.
