"There survives one lone wolf of the battlefield. He hunts not with the pack. Single-handed, or accompanied by one companion, he seeks cover near the fighting." -General George O. Van Orden "the most deadly weapon on any battlefield is the single, well-aimed shot." "His bullets must come from nowhere." "Stones launched by slingshots were replaced by spears launched by throwing sticks. The bow and arrow replaced these and was in turn replaced by the crossbow and then by gunpowder. Each technological advancement in weaponry increased the range from which a marksman could hit a target and the accuracy with which he could hit it." "No-where is the enemy safe from the snipers eye. The enemys life is cheap. It takes only one bullet to kill him. One shot - one kill." "The harder they hunt me, the harder I get." -Hathcock "He never fired more than one shot a day and never from the same location twice. He was good." "The sniper had sprinkled rice to attract birds as an early warning signal" "a rifle bullet fired past a tree or building or rock made a sonic crack in passing that confused the enemy by sounding as though it came from that location instead of from the snipers true hide." "I forced myself to take a deep silent breath and let it out slowly to settle my nerves, like they taught in sniper school." "When you go into combat you revert to the most vicious kind of animal that ever walked the earth. You become a predator. I got to where it hurt me more to kill a good dog than a human being." * Indian snipers scalping German soldiers and killing Italian female scouts "Hunting animals gives you the patience to hunt man." "The snipers used flashless gunpowder. That made it hard to spot them." "Snipers can save a country." "What can be seen can be hit." "During a fight you could see them wandering around trying to find dead Americans so they could pick up their weapons and use them against us." "Spine-shattering screaming and hollering came from the flames. It was hard to tell the difference between people and live pigs cooking." Pg.125 prego gook gunned *Splibs = the marine word for blacks "The marksmanship ability of the average soldier has deteriorated so badly that we would be hard pressed to win a conventional war," -Lones Wigger Jr "One accurate shot fired with deliberate precision is worth more than a hundred fired without control." -Major Foster "if I wanted to shoot a gook at a range of 500 meters, I had to aim at his balls in order to get him in the chest." "Killing so easily also made you aware of how easy it was to die."  "I was nineteen years old, lean, with blond hair and blue eyes. But looks, I proved, could be deceiving. I was ready to kill. Primed for it. I was ready to get even." "The mind finds ways of adapting when sane men are thrown into insane conditions." *Carlos Hathcock / Long Trang / White Feather / 90 confirmed kills / 200 kills / wiped out 80 man company in Vietnam / shot through other snipers scope into eye / blown up in truck via land mind, severe burns all over body / became instructor "Hes not firing from the window. He's back in the shadows." "Fiberglass stocks are impervious to heat, cold, and moisture." "And one thirty-six cent bullet would take care of their beloved leader," *Remington 700 with Unertl Scope
