Summarize the book: This book is about three little pigs who are trying to build houses. Two of the little pigs build their houses fast and out of material that can be easily broken. The third little pig build his house out of brick even though it takes a long time to get set up and built. Eventually, a scary wolf comes by and blows down the first two pigs house. The third pig however, is not so easily swayed and his brick house withstands the wolfs blowing. It shows that hard work and dedication is worth the time it takes to get the best quality product. Identify the characteristics from the text that support the specific genre: This book has characteristics from this genre because it is a retelling of a story that has been told over many generations. Identify specific concepts that could be integrated into the classroom: This book specifically can be integrated into specific reading levels. It is appropriate for children ages 5-6 and should probably be read either together in kindergarten or alone in 1st grade. This book could be integrated into the classroom because it is a good story that discusses about how hard work and more effort put into something can result in a better quality end. Provide any other suggestions that would be useful regarding literary content, reading level, and other ways in which the book might be integrated: There are many different stories that tell about the three little pigs and this story has been written so many times that it could be differentiated at many different reading levels depending on the author and the difficulty of the text.

The Three Little Pigs: Level 2 Ziefert, Harriet This book is a Good early reader for (k-2) traditional story of the three little pigs. Not only as a library book for the young classroom but this book also makes a connection to the story and the other versions of the story. This book has been used to expand writing and creating fractured fairy tales, using the original story not only as a comparison but allows the students to write their own stories.
