Mostly pretty short, mostly pre-20th century, all focused on a sanatan dharma approach to spirituality rather than any specific religion. I like that Barry McDonald's preface makes a case for meter and rhyme in (even translated) poetry, from a spiritual basis.

Review # 2 was written on 2012-06-02 00:00:00 Van Hartman A shorter anthology of world sacred poetry with an emphasis on rhymed verse translations. Selections from Sufi, Buddhist, Hindu, and Christian traditions. And several beautiful Native American and African poems and songs.
