Review # 1 was written on 2017-12-01 00:00:00 Bjorn Hanson Review by James, age 9, 6/20/18 This book was about the history of communication. (Duh!) The major innovations in communication were the printing press, the telephone, the radio, the television, and the internet. Something I learned about the television was that the first thing ever projected on a television set was a single black line on a piece of glass. Back in his office there were cheers because it proved that his invention worked. Something I learned about communication before the printing press is that it took years to finish a book and that a scribe might finish three books in his life. This is why books were very, very, very expensive. The biggest library of the time had a whooping 36 books! I loved this book. Next I want to read the one in the series about weapons. (I'm a boy, so that's obvious.)
