Review # 1 was written on 2012-04-04 00:00:00 Frank Bohlmann A profoundly dishonest book. Weil documented the rise and fall of Rotary Rocket while omitting all the forces that drove that: the "Teledesic winter" of planned communication satellites led by Iridium. Instead of showing the company's fortunes following that of its intended customers she simply portrayed Gary Hudson as operating on whim. The author's ignorance of the technical issues her subjects were focused on didn't help the writing either. Disclosure: I'm mentioned in it as "a guy from Pioneer." |
Review # 2 was written on 2015-06-17 00:00:00 Paul Greco A detailed review of the life of Robert H. Goddard, the "Father of Rocketry". Sometimes the best recounting of a man's life is not always exciting and page-turning. Technically a good history, but not necessarily invigorating. Such is the life of a dedicated scientist. |
