Review # 1 was written on 2014-11-05 00:00:00 Gina Lofberg The Submarine is a compact well illustrated history of the submarine from 1900-1950 combined with an equally compact directory of types in service during that period. You get the impression that a lot of stuff is being omitted to save on space, and in addition there are a number of errors both in the text and in photo captions. All in all, the book is not that special, but does make an enjoyable overview of submarine operations and types in the period covered.

Review # 2 was written on 2016-01-21 00:00:00 James Frye although an interesting book the second part of the book (the directory of submarines) was frustrating. I would have liked to have seen a bit more detail such as in service dates in the specifications boxes the book felt a little disorganised.
