The average rating for American Foreign Relations: A History, Volume 1: To 1920 based on 2 reviews is 4 stars.
Review # 1 was written on 2017-06-11 00:00:00 Peter Crawford Clear and easy to read. Pretty neutral in perspective though naturally leans more towards American perspective. Good book for an intro to American foreign relations and I would recommend to a study looking to learn more. |
Review # 2 was written on 2016-03-28 00:00:00 Harold Miller Well written and engaging rundown of early American foreign policy, occasionally reads like a very well cited Cracked article, which is more of a positive than a negative in my opinion. Definitely check with your professor to see if you can buy the 2010 seventh edition instead of the much, much more expensive eighth from 2014, since our understanding of the material hasn't changed very much in the intervening four years, unlike volume 2. |
