Review # 2 was written on 2012-08-14 00:00:00 Francis Romero If you are taking a class with this textbook make sure you have also taken 'A&P I' at least otherwise this book will be brutal. This textbook is one of the most useful books I ever owned. If the reader did not take 'A&P' the textbook covers the musculoskeletal system in tremendous detail . With a chapter for each major muscle/ bone / joint groups (eg:the acromioclavicular joint and others) some readers will still be overwhelmed but this portion was a thoughtful touch. There are labs in the book they will ask the reader to look at a model in the appendix and while viwing the model ask questions like ' is this move sequential?is this move segmental?' This is helpful as the reader is applying his knowledge rather than just reading it. Finally this book takes major exercises eg: ( I made up overhand throw a bunt etc) and breaks down the entire biomechanical movements. This book will teach everyone something and I recommend it to anyone with an interest in exercise |
