Review # 1 was written on 2021-02-19 00:00:00 Khary Bethea Step-cousins in love! Hero is 31, heroine is 21 and they both act like they're 14 and discovering sex for the first time. This is literally true for the heroine who actually went to college for four years and learned nothing about anything from what I can tell. She does know about first base* And the hero is willing to take her to second base** while sitting in a truck at a drive-in movie, at the office on the ranch, in his private plane - but there's no paradise by the dashboard light beyond that. Hero seems like he is pursuing the heroine, but then he pulls back. Heroine pretends she doesn't care and OMG - just pass a note in gym class: Do you like me? ___yes ___no There's a sub-plot with the hero's brother wanting to be race car driver and not work on the ranch. He manages to interfere with the hero's slow-walk seduction of the clueless heroine several times. The hero actually spells out his seduction technique for the heroine with some cringey dialogue that's supposed be sexy talk. I believe the hero calls it "verbalizing." They discuss *French kissing and the delights of **above the waist nudity and *gasp* nipple stimulation. He also explains how one method of birth control is uncomfortable and the other is unreliable. (And there are no other methods, obv) I haven't heard conversations like this since I was in jr. high. Ah, memories. I think I'll watch Welcome Back Kotter and dot Clearisil all over my face to really bring back the awkwardness.

Review # 2 was written on 2008-03-16 00:00:00 Timmy Marlar "Champagne Girl" is the story of Matt and Catherine. Matt and Catherine are step siblings who have always been on the odds. Matt has always looked out for Catherine, but refuses to let her spread out her wings. When she gets a job in NY, she tries to convince him to leave but he sets his seductive charm on.. We have a typical DP story with an innocent virgin, a tortured hero, loads of upper body lovemaking and breast rubbing on hairy chests, smoking, angst and HEA. What pleasantly surprised me was that the hero wasn't a douche, genuinely cared for the heroine and their banter was hilarious. Loved this one! Safe with exceptions 4.75/5
