Review # 2 was written on 2013-12-25 00:00:00 Ultra Steve Common ground shared by Machiavelli and Rousseau. Grant keeps a prudent distance from both Strauss' and Skinner's interpretation and she distinguished certain confusable (or controversial) concepts delicately. She presented a more neutralized Machiavelli by demonstrating the necessity of hypocrisy in political actions. The issue of dependence is also noteworthy. |
