Review # 1 was written on 2009-02-13 00:00:00 Michael Montijo With volume 2, this is a must read to understand Brazil. Just remember, this is a history of Portuguese in Brazil and is brutal. It does not reflect much of modern Brazil, although it sheds light on how and when long term, rich land owners got a leg up in Brazilian society. The sentence structure of James Hudderd is complex, so be prepared to read slowly. |
Review # 2 was written on 2013-09-26 00:00:00 William Swett AS THE CAPS-HAPPY BOOK SUMMARY ABOVE MIGHT SUGGEST, JAMES HUFFERD'S PROSE STYLE IS COMPLETELY UNREADABLE |
