Review # 1 was written on 2013-07-12 00:00:00 Robert Hill A good text book is one that a student can pick up and use to learn the subject at hand, and this book doesn't even come close. There are a lot of skipped steps and a major chasm where explanation and background should go. There are also a lot of errors in this book (starting with the table of contents and continuing all the way to the end).

Review # 2 was written on 2014-01-15 00:00:00 Troutman Fishing That's right, five stars. This is the only calculus book that I would ever want to pick up again. Not simple. Not easy to understand. Nothing was ever explained step by step. But it came with the answers software! And it's easier to work backwards with calculus.
