Really thorough and systematic history of world government treatises, movements, U.S. congressional and related resolutions in the 1940s. Also covers related later movements for Atlantic Union, and then more diverse functionalist proposals for integrating various aspects of global community and institutions. This remains an excellent resource for introducing students or general readers to the surprisingly robust world federalist movements in the mid-late 1940s, and the surprisingly broad public and elite support for it -- culminating in Congress' devotion of many days to testimony on world government resolutions. Wooley is an accessible and engaging historian, and the book requires no prior knowledge of the topics. Highly Recommended. For students, a deeper dive can be found in Joseph P. Baratta's two-volume set, The Politics of World Federation. Vol. 2 includes some of resolutions introduced by U.S. Senators and Representatives, as well as some of the salient European federalist documents. Also recommended is Manu Bhagavan's The Peacemakers, which deals in part with support for world government by Jawaharlal Nehru and Mahatma M.K. Gandhi in India in the 1940s.

Much more of an international outlook on the situation and how there needs to be a buffer between South Korea and Japan and etc etc and about how important the US is to the relationship. Kind of strange coming from a Korean dude.
