Review # 1 was written on 2013-07-19 00:00:00 chika okwesa I'll give this adaptation of the fairy tales, which seems to be Ruby & Max & co giving little skits in costume, 3 stars just because I adore Ruby and Max. The stories have been toned down (Max neither conquers the giant nor tears down the beanstalk, and Grandma is pleased that Little Red Ruby Hood brought so many cookies so that she, Ruby Hood, and the Little Bad Wolf (Max) can share them), making them a gentler introduction to the classics than the usual storylines. But only a hint of Well's trademark sly humor shines through: this is more made-for-tv than even the usual Max and Ruby TV spinoffs.
