Review # 1 was written on 2016-10-11 00:00:00 John Quadrino A Pakistan-focused equivalent of Robert King's book "Nehru and the Language Politics of India" has yet to be written, but Ayres' work nevertheless provides solid insight into the politics of language in Pakistan in the context of nationalism. I very much enjoyed the chapter on the Punjabiyat movement. The peculiar decline of the Punjabi language among Punjabi Muslims and Punjabi Hindus -- and the absorption of many Punjabi speakers into the Urdu and Hindi folds -- is a topic worthy of its own book.

Review # 2 was written on 2012-05-13 00:00:00 YUTAKA NAGASAKI حاول عبدالله حمودي وصف الوضع السلطة الحالي و شكلها في المغرب عن طريق تأطيرها في علاقة الشيخ بالمريد. نجح في وصف العلاقة و نبش اسسها و جذورها و الاستدلال بوجودها في دول عربية أخري كالجزائر و مصر. لكن ما لاحظته شخصياً في الكتاب، هو محاولة تلطيف السلطة الحالية في المغرب على حساب مثيلاتها في دول عربية أخرى. كتاب مهم جداً، يعتبر صعب و أكاديمي و يستحق القراءة.
