Review # 1 was written on 2011-09-26 00:00:00 Brian Volpe I feel bad judging a book too harshly that I had to read for class. It doesn't seem fair. However, this books was a pleasant little read, easy to digest and fairly straight-forward. Very little mathematical economics was used, making it accessible for non-economists like myself. Alexander's overall premise is solid and he argument is fairly coherent if not always the most precise. Starts off with history then moves towards analysis. A good introduction to Japanese economics, but less not as solid as a book by Flath that is in my books.

Review # 2 was written on 2021-02-16 00:00:00 Gabriel Mogosanu Factual, truthful, and hard-hitting, Schwab exposes most of the reasons Africa fails. Although many disagree with his assessment, only someone who has lived 20 plus years in Africa will understand the depth of truth and mastery of insight Schwab reveals.
